You know about the Firefighter Combat Challenge events happening across the U.S., but did you know that the FFCC has spread around the globe? Many countries embrace the health, safety and performance ideals embodied in the Challenge’s extreme tasks and obstacles. Dr. Paul Davis received his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College of Human Performance. A former firefighter/paramedic, he is a renowned expert witness on the subject of physical fitness and employment standards in the public safety sector. His ground-breaking research was the basis for the creation of the Firefighter Combat Challenge. Dr. Davis recounted the founding of the FFCC in a blog post last month.
